Fashionistas with Attitude
The definition of sensible is having, using, or showing good sense or sound judgment. When someone says sensible in relation to fashion, alarms go off in my head. Immediately I see fashion that is mundane but comfortable. When shopping for sensible black shoes, flat, dull, and plain Jane styles come to mind. The good news is it doesn’t have to be so. You don’t have to compromise comfort for style. These shoes are stylish but sensible? We’ll just have to see!

As much as I love heels, after a summer of flip flops, flat sandals, and mostly going barefoot, it’s a bit of a transition to start wearing heels again in the fall. I feel like one of those ugly stepsisters in Disney’s Cinderella, when they’re trying to shove that dainty glass slipper onto their big honkin’ feet. No, I don’t have big feet. Shut up. I’m saying, I just feel that way after a summer of letting my toes wiggle freely in water and sand. Having to ease myself back into heels—literally—I don’t want to miss out on the gorgeous ornamented shoes that are going to be big this fall. Well, I realized I can have the best of both worlds in a pretty, ornamented shoe like this Taryn Rose Babe ballerina flat.
