So, how’s the weather? Has it started to cool off where you live? You know what that means, right? It’s beginning to look a lot like boot weather! Yay! I don’t know about you, but I love wearing boots. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved boots. My first pair of boots was a clunky pair of galoshes. Yeah, so they were school bus yellow and looked hideous, and my mom made me wear them to school if it even looked in the slightest like it might rain. But secretly, I loved wearing them. Boots give you an extra boost of confidence, somehow. Whether it’s because they remind us of Wonder Woman, or because we know they’re made for walkin’, boots are a kickass addition to just about any outfit. Speaking of Wonder Woman, I bet you’d feel like an Amazon in these Stuart Weitzman Igiveup suede boots, even without the white stripe down the front.
But you know, I have just about had it with these designers and their dumb names for their accessories. Igiveup? Really? All one word like that? And what is that name even about? I don’t give up anything easily. You know what happened, don’t you? Ol’ Stu was sitting there, trying to come up with a really cool name for these boots because, well look at them. They deserve a really cool name with that one hundred percent suede upper, and four-inch mirror-shiny spike heel and platform. Stu was probably pulling his hair out trying to think of a name when finally, in exasperation, he threw down his pen and said, “I give up!” and his incompetent assistant wrote that down and sent it off to the boot factory with the designs. Ok, I totally just made all that up. But that’s a better explanation than purposely giving such gorgeous boots such a stupid name. Anyway, the name aside, these boots are pull-on, so there’s no zipper to mar their beauty. The shaft is 19.5 inches high, so if you’re petite, they may end up being over-the-knee boots. I love them in red, but they also come in black, if you prefer. The sole is textured rubber, so don’t worry about slipping if you do end up walkin’. All this buttery suede goodness can be yours for $595 at Zappos.com.

Ok, maybe the Igiveup name came along after some of us women on normal budgets saw that price tag. Ouch. Just think what they’d cost if they had a good name. Then again, the Moda Spana Meteor boot has a very cool name and is much more reasonable. Its upper is also made from rich suede, but the shaft is slouchy. It’s a little reminiscent of ’80s boots, and you know ’80s style has been all the rage this year. Show off the slouch by wearing them over a pair of skinny jeans, or even with a skirt. The boots have a man made sole, and sit on 3.5-inch heels. The shaft is 16 inches high, so they’ll work a little better for vertically challenged women. I’m not usually big on purple shoes, but these look more like an ultraviolet blue to me. If that’s still not your thing, they also come in brown and black suede. Let this Meteor strike you for $184.95 at Endless.com.

Despite its baffling name, the Enzo Angiolini Knit boot is not made of yarn, and it wasn’t crocheted. It’s also a soft boot made with a completely suede upper. The heel is also covered in matching suede. It does have one big difference from the other boots, though—a folded and scalloped cuff at the collar. You’ll definitely want to tuck your skinny jeans in to show off that detail. The Knit has an almond toe, which is somewhere between rounded and cockroach killer. Ew. Hey, I didn’t make that up; that’s what those super pointy-toed boots are called! It zips closed on the inside, almost from the sole to the top, so it’s easy to get on and take off. The insole is lightly padded for comfort, and the leather sole will wear to give you a little traction. The boot has a 3.25-inch heel, and a 15-inch shaft, and also comes in smooth brown leather. And look! It’s on sale. It was $197.95, but you can get it right now for just $124.71 at Zappos.com.
