One of the coolest things about winter (no pun intended) is that you can dress like an Eskimo and not be considered a walking fashion faux pas. It’s fun sometimes to put on big, fuzzy boots and tromp around in the ice or snow without worrying about the cold or, you know, frostbite. What’s really fun, though, is getting away from the same old black or brown winter boots, and definitely not blending in with white winter boots. All over Facebook and Twitter for the past few days, people have been talking about snow. Is it just me, or did it start early this year? It seems like just the other day, it was still 80 degrees outside, and I was wearing capris and sandals. Don’t get me wrong, I like the cold weather. Prefer it, in fact. It just seems like this year, we didn’t really ease into the cold, nasty wet weather. It just suddenly got dumped on our heads. Anyway, what I realized was, while I have plenty of sweaters and other cozy stuff to keep me warm when it’s cold out, I didn’t really have any shoes made for truly wet or snowy weather.
