I realized it’s been a while since I featured anything from my fashion girl crush, Kate Spade. You know how much I love her stuff. There’s just been so much going on, and so many other kickass things to talk about, Kate fell by the wayside. But that’s ok. I know she forgives me. I can always leave her, and she’s waiting for me when I’m ready to go back to her. Actually, now that I think about it, Kate sounds like an insecure high school girl. Maybe she has a self-esteem problem. Maybe Kate should tell me to go eff myself when I’ve been ignoring her. Stop being so co-dependent, Kate! Regardless of her issues, she makes some beautiful shoes, right? And I have to say I love this Kate Spade Gabby Slingback.
This is the ultimate office ensemble shoe. A peep toe slingback, and in tweed?! It’s perfect! It’s an updated look, though, with the frayed edges, and the glossy patent accents, especially the band on the flirty grosgrain bow that adorns the vamp, the ankle strap, and the covered heel. The four-inch heels and .75-inch platform will lengthen your leg, adding just a little sexiness to your professional attire. Pair these slingbacks with a pencil skirt, or a pair of wide-legged slacks. The tweed is a mix of red, black and gray, so pretty much any combination of these colors in the skirt, pants, and blouse will work. Make them yours for $325 at Endless.com.

The color scheme on this Beverly Feldman Belissimo could be considered sort of autumn-like, but it has flowers so I’m going to say it’s for spring. What? It’s my blog, I can do what I want. Besides, slingbacks aren’t really for fall—they’re definitely spring and summer shoes. Anyway, the Belissimo has a mesh upper with metallic leather trim in a nice peach color. The embroidered flowers have a silver sequin and tiny clear bead center for the tiniest amount of flash in your every step. The 3.5-inch heel is covered in the same metallic leather used for the trim. It has a man-made lining, insole, and outsole. One nice detail is the bit of elastic in the ankle strap for a good fit, and ease of wear. And don’t forget the sexy peep toe. There’s a lot going on with this shoe, so keep your pedi neutral and natural when you wear it. It’s just $185 at Zappos.com.

There is no mistaking this Martinez Valero Willow Slingback for a spring/summer shoe. It may not be the best choice for an office, unless you work in a fairly casual environment, but it would add some color and vibrance to a solid-colored sundress or skirt. The upper is satin, so it will even take you into the evening, if you keep the ensemble colorful, or even opt for a little black dress. The ankle strap has an elastic insert at the back for fit and comfort. The peep toe is a little bigger than most, so make sure your pedi in up to snuff. Be sure to scuff up the leather sole before you take these babies out on the dance floor. If this yellow is too bright for you, try the lavender. The Willow is also on sale. It usually goes for $144.95, but you can get it now for $63.78 at Endless.com.
