I know what you’re thinking, but no, I’m not an Elvis fan. No, really. I’m not. I know, he’s supposedly the King of Rock-n-Roll and all, and he had a bunch of hit songs in his prime, and he made a lot of classic movies. Or is that cheesy movies? Or is that the same thing for that time period? Anyway, I know all that, but for some reason, I’ve just never really liked his music. Well, there is one exception. That song “A Little Less Conversation” is pretty kickass. I guess I like it because I subscribe to that philosophy—a little less conversation, a little more action! In other words, quit blabbing and do something! Yeah, I like that. I do have to say I like the remixed version they used for that now-canceled show Las Vegas. It was a goofy show, but we did get to see Josh Duhamel with his shirt off an awful lot, so even when the plot was thin, which was, you know, always, it was still watchable. Anyway, why am I talking about Vegas and Elvis? Well, because of these awesome blue suede shoes, of course! Blue suede boots, to be exact. And not just any suede boots. This is the Georgina Goodman Tarren Stretch suede boot.
Now, I don’t know how the Italians who hand made this boot managed to make the suede upper stretchy, but I do know it must be true because there is no zipper to be found anywhere on the shaft. It’s a slip-on boot, with the stretch making it easier to put on the take off. Very smart. The shaft is about 17.5 inches high from the arch, so it should hit just below the knee, unless you’re vertically challenged, in which case, they may come up over the knee just a bit. Either way, this boot will look great with anything from skinny jeans to skirts to slacks, although I would try not to wear it with pants. What’s the point if you can’t see all of this gorgeous boot? The sole is leather, so after a little wearing, it’ll give you good traction on just about any surface. It’s also available in black, if you prefer. The Tarren also has a unique four-inch heel. The top part is suede, but the bottom part is made from a hard plastic with a wedge top that extends past the outer edge of the heel. It’s a little difficult to describe. You’ll have to click over and take a look at it close up to see what I’m talking about. And once you’ve done that, if you like what you see, you can pony up the $1,159.95 they’re asking for it at Endless.com.

Still here, huh? Yeah, the Tarren is a little pricey. Ok, a lot pricey. But it looks good! Maybe not $1,159.95 worth of goodness, but good nonetheless. And a whole lot better than this Kelsi Dagger Iona Knee High Boot. What. The. Hell. I like some Kelsi Dagger stuff. I’ve even included one of their shoes here before. By the way, Kelsi Dagger isn’t a real person. It’s a brand created by Pour La Victoire. Why they chose what could be construed as a woman’s—or an assassin’s—name, I don’t know. Anyway, I like the color of this boot. They call it navy, but it’s actually more of a royal blue. I like how it’s slouchy, and how the leather is gathered down the front of the boot shaft. I like the slightly curved-in heel, and the rounded toe. So many high-heeled boots go for the pointy toe, which isn’t always the most comfortable option. What I don’t like is how the foot of the boot is set apart from the shaft by having sewn together separate pieces of leather. It makes it look like they first made a pair of pumps, then decided to convert them to boots by slapping on a long, gathered piece of leather. Like they had some leather left over and someone said, “Hey, I know what we can do with those remnants!” No. They should have quit while they were ahead. Look at the boot. It’s like there’s a fat leg covered with baggy leather stuffed into a pump that’s too small for it. It’s like the ugly stepsister to the Tarren’s Cinderella. Blah. It’s only $219.95 at Endless.com, which is good because I wouldn’t pay more than that for this blunder.
Budget Saving Alternative 2
I’m sure you can tell by now, I have a thing for suede, and especially suede boots. Hey, it’s fall, getting to be winter. You can’t very well wear suede shoes or boots in the spring or summer, so yeah, I take full advantage of the cooler months to indulge my suede fetish. There are days when I don’t want to wear heels, though, so I was glad to find this Charles David Dazzling suede boot. The heel is only a half-inch high, and the toe is squared, so you can be comfy while still looking stylish in this indigo suede boot. The other nice thing about it is the rubber sole. No need to break it in—it will already give you sure footing, although you wouldn’t want to wear it when it’s raining or snowing out, unless you coat it with some protectant first. This boot would also look great over a pair of skinny jeans, or under a longer skirt. It’s also available in cognac, which is a rusty brown color, also perfect for fall. And guess what? It’s on sale! Normally $294.95, you can get it now for just $159.90 at Endless.com.
