The Preakness Stakes horse race is coming up this Saturday. I’m not into horse racing or betting. In fact, I didn’t even know the race was this weekend until I happened to see a headline while surfing. But reading it made me think about the fashion that goes along with horse racing, and I wondered whether there might be any stylish, equestrian-themed handbags out there. If you can get past the horsey names, there are some gorgeous options available.
I don’t know why Isaac Mizrahi felt the need to call this a feedbag, but the not-so-appetizing name aside, it’s a beautiful handbag. First, it’s rather large at 16.5 inches high, 18.5 inches wide, and 6.5 inches deep. At that size, it can double not only as a handbag, but an overnight bag. Heck, maybe even a weekender, if you pack well. It’s made of smooth, buttery leather, and also has a leather lining. The bag looks white in photos, but the color is indicated as Almond. The drawstring closure gives it an attractive ruffled look on top, and makes the bag easy to get into. It also comes with a dustbag. Now, here’s the kicker: The bag usually sells for $895, but right now, you can get it for just $430 on Endless.com.

Cole Haan has its own version of the equestrian handbag in this Spectator Saddle Small Denney Bag. Small? The bag is 16 inches wide, 9.5 inches high, and 7 inches deep. What the heck are these equestrian people carrying?! Anyway, there’s plenty of room for whatever you need. The bag is made from leather in a rich hunter green, with brown leather accents, and brass hardware. Dual handles give the bag a 6.75 inch drop, and they’re woven into a sturdy braid. There are two side slip pockets on the outside, and the lined interior also has slip pockets and one zip pocket. There is no lack of storage space in this bag. The platform bottom helps it keep its shape. This roomy handbag seems to be priced per square inch. It sells for $378.95 at Zappos.com.

If you want an unconventional equestrian style bag in a fun design, you aren’t concerned with whether it’s real leather, or you just want to save some cash, check out the Sydney Love Equestrian Saddle Bag. The name might not sound very attractive, but in these days of liposuction, saddle bag once again only refers to the actual equestrian utility item. The Sydney Love saddle bag has a bit more flair than a standard brown saddle bag. It’s made from durable nylon fabric in a bold blue, green and gold print. It’s accented with faux leather trim and antiqued brass-colored metal hardware. It’s a good sized bag at 12.5 inches wide, and 8.25 inches tall. It has a cute dotted fabric lining, and pockets galore, both inside and out. The great thing about the bag being made from fabric rather than leather? It’s lightweight—just one pound. And you can’t go wrong with the price. It normally retails for $64, but it’s only $51.20 right now at eBags.com.

I am looking for Isaac Mizrahi’s ladies white watch with square face and Panther Link band.
I have been searching the web using any tag possible. Have also been looking and hoping for it to return on QVC. No luck with either. Any way I could still get this watch?
Thanks for any help. I look for this every day.

Wow, I wish I could help you, but it looks like that watch is no longer made or available from any retailer. My best advice would be to create an ebay alert for it, and keep an eye on QVC. I’d also do that web search every once in a while to see if it pops up again. Good luck!
