Yeah, yeah, I may be jumping the gun a little. But I am really loving all the spring colors that I’m seeing in handbags right now. Wait. I’m loving all the handbags I’m seeing in spring colors right now? Or I’m loving all the colors I’m seeing in spring handbags right now. Well, whatever. You know what I mean. Spring is around the corner, there are handbags, and they’re in pretty colors! So if the blog looks like a parade of Easter eggs right now, just deal with it. Hey, how did that tradition of coloring and hiding Easter eggs even start? Who thought this would be a good idea? Have you ever had an egg hunt, thought you found them all, and then run across that one hard boiled egg that everyone missed a few months later? Ew. I say go with the plastic ones and stuff them with candy. That way if you find a stray one later, it’s like finding treasure and not a disgusting little heap of gooey—yeesh, I can’t even go there. But I’m getting way ahead of myself here, talking about Easter. Let’s move on to the gorgeous handbags, shall we? Starting with this beautiful Botkier Venice Satchel.
I. Love. This. Color. It’s called ocean, but it’s a little too light for that, I think. But it’s not sky blue, or even baby blue either. I don’t know what I’d call it, to be honest, but it’s a gorgeous shade, don’t you think? It’s made of soft lambskin. I know, I know, poor little lambs! Just remember, they’re marked for lamb chops anyway. That doesn’t make you feel any better? Um, sorry. Anyway, the Venice features several zippered pockets for plenty of storage space, all with tasseled pulls. The interior is lined with logoed fabric, and the top zips closed. The muted silver tone hardware is the perfect complement to this blue, but if you prefer, the Venice also comes in naked, and crinkle black. It goes for $595 at Botkier.com.

This bag is just too cute. The Melie Bianco Braid Ring Satchel sort of has a teeny bit of a seventies look to me with the ring handles and the braided overlay, but it’s definitely an updated, contemporary look. If it makes you feel any better about the lambskin Venice, this one is one hundred percent synthetic, with the look and feel of leather. You can look great with a totally clear conscience. I love how the material is gathered just under the dual handles. The top of the bag also zips closed. A cute polka dotted satin fabric lines the interior, where you’ll also find slip pockets to carry smaller essentials. I like the ring handles, but if you prefer shoulder carrying, it comes with a detachable, adjustable 22-inch strap. Get it now for just $105 at Piperlime.com.

Now this is a cute spring bag with a little attitude. The SR Squareed by Sondra Roberts Trapunto Circle Satchel—could it have a longer name?!—is a perfect addition to your spring wardrobe. It’s the color of little ducklings and daffodils, and what’s more spring-like than that? This bag in its bright cheery yellow is definitely a pick-me-up. It’s also completely synthetic, so no baby ducks were harmed in the making of the Trapunto. The interior is lined with a plainweave fabric in the same color as the exterior, and features a back wall zip pocket. The top zips closed, and is further secured by a strap that ends in a lock clasp. The dual handles feature buckle detailing, and a detachable shoulder strap is included. All the hardware is shiny silver tone metal, making the bag even brighter. It also comes in orange and fuchsia, two colors you’ll be seeing a lot of this spring and summer, and here on StyleCynics next week. Get your favorite color for only $98 at Endless.com.

I came to groan- thinking you had literal Egg/bags (or something hideously close) like those cupcake bags you had forever ago, and instead I fell in love with the Venice! It’s so gorgeous!
LOL! No, but that does give me an idea. I may have to go find some egg bags now. :-P
I know, isn’t the Venice gorgeous?! I don’t usually go for blue bags–you won’t find many featured on the blog–but that is a big exception to the rule. Love it!
