After last week’s wedding series of shoes and accessories, the blog’s looking a little blah. Yeah, white is normally the go-to color for weddings, but a lot of people are getting away from that. Heck, in China, the bride wears red. How kickass would a hot, red wedding dress look?! I think more people should do that. We get caught up in that need to look like a fairy princess or some crap. You can walk into any shoe store on any given day, and find a pair of basic, everyday shoes. Black, brown, navy, whatever color, for whatever occasion. How many times have you been in a hurry to get to an event and needed a pair of shoes to get you through the evening, or you just waited until the last minute to shop, so you settle for whatever’s there, whatever fits, and whatever’s affordable. I know I’ve done it. I can’t tell you how many pairs of shoes are sitting at the back of my closet, probably never to be worn again, because they were desperate, last-minute, necessity purchases made on the go.
