When the weather gets cold, you know what I love wearing? Wraps. I don’t mean like the old fashioned, 1950s style thick wool or fur wraps. Not that I’d wear fur anyway. I mean, come on. We’re not cavepeople anymore. There are plenty of alternatives nowadays so we don’t have to wear fur. And yeah, I know, I do wear leather, but I really don’t think it’s the same thing. I eat meat, too. Mmm…steak. So let’s not get into a philosophical debate here about the ethics of fur, leather, and meatatarianism, ‘kay? Let’s stick to the fashion. So—wraps. I’m talking about lightweight wool or synthetic wraps for colder days, and even lighter weight, colorful pashmina or similar wraps for days when it’s not so cold. [click to continue…]

Gray is the new black. Ok, I just made that up. But it sounds good, doesn’t it? Seems like whenever someone wants to make something sound cool, they say, “It’s the new black.” Like “Bitter is the New Black,” or, “Kate Gosselin is the new black.” The first one, sure. The second one, not so much. Not at all, really. But gray is actually pretty close to black, and both are fall colors, and you can wear gray and black together, and in the dark you can’t actually see any color, so gray may as well be black then, right? Right.
